Thus indicating that this person offering you protection has superior power than you. when I first listened to this song I was convinced it was about a woman’s unconditional love towards her man, but I was proven wrong when I did my research on the song the song pertains to a storm about to take place and she is offering her lover protection under her umbrella “you can stand under my umbrella”.
